    One has to wonder if some of these ludicrous and onerous "initiatives" by the government are not just mechanisms to create jobs for people who would otherwise have nothing to do?

    I think is more about paranoia and control-extra personal info is now required by an undemocratic government increasingly under pressure to go.

    The government collects sooo much information these days, I wonder if there is any evidence that they actually USE IT.....or is the mere collection activity just for show and to cause inconvenience?
