Re: Prayut 'willing' to be outsider PM

The REAL question to be asked at this time is whether Prayut is "willing" to accept anyone other than himself to take the position of Prime Minister after the election.

Wasn't a new party being formed for the express purpose of his running?

Military ego's have no bounds.....I am wondering if Prayut intends to contest the election but expects to be appointed Prime Minister even if he loses?

Pretty sure he has been appointed Prime Minister already.

I AM talking about after the next election! Do you honestly think the military and their "betters" are going to completely withdraw from governing the country??!!

Re: Prayut 'willing' to be outsider PM

I suppose it wouldnt be the first election ever rigged, but Thailand has a long history of the redshirts winning, only to be later overthrown by court process or a coup. It would not surprise me to see the opposition win yet again and I am wondering if Prayut would willingly step aside for an elected P.M. - even temporarily (until he can mount another coup) If the constitution and electoral conditions are such that NO-ONE else could win, there seems little point in actually having an election. Although, come to think of it, there was a referendum for a constitution that nobody was allowed to question or criticise.
