    Compound adjectives

    ใจดี kind (heart + good)
    ใจเย็น calm (heart + cool)
    ใจร้อน impatient, impetuous (heart + hot)
    ใจแคบ narrow-minded (heart + narrow)

    น่าสนใจ interesting (son jai - to be interested in)
    น่าเบื่อ boring (buea - to be bored)
    น่าลืม forgettable (luem - to forget)
    น่ากลัว frightening (glua - to be afraid)

    ขี้เกียจ lazy (kiat does not exist in isolation)
    ขี้อาย shy (aye – to be embarrassed)
    ขี้ลืม forgetful (luem - to forget)
    ขี้เหนียว mean, stingy (niew – to be sticky)

    ช่างพูด talktative (photo – to speak)
    ช่างคิด given to thinking (khit – to think)
    ช่างสังเกต observant (sung-gate – to observe)

    Another common stylistic feature of Thai is the use of two adjectives of identical or similar meaning.

    เก่าแก่ old (old + old)
    สวยงาม beautiful (beautiful + beautiful)
    ว่างเปล่า vacant, empty (vacant + empty)
    ยากจน poor (difficult + poor)
    ให*่โต big (big + big)
    เยอะแยะ many (many + many)
