a cheap and good place to learn thai is from community centres. they are organised by PA and conducted by thai native speakers.

music and movies are another good resource of learning. i have been watching thai movie VCDs and found it helpful in learning the language.

    chok dee na krap.

Interest: Singing, music, clubbing (Thai Disco and pubs)

I'm currently learning the Thai language from a Thai teacher. She holds private lessons in her house and if anyone is interested, do let me know and I will glady pass you her contacts.

Maybe we can arrange for a meetup so that we can get to know each other since we love the Thai culture and language.

Genesis, have you found any solutions to the problem that we are facing regarding listening to the Thai music?

hi skydiver!as long as u keen to learn,u will master it.
mai ton kit mak,kit tan mai,kon yak sorng, gor ton put boy.
    Meaningon't think too much,if u want to learn,u should speak often.:p

    hello ros,
it's juz that not many people can speak thai, unless u happen to meet one.
thai language has similiar tone in different meaning so u must listen to the tone carefully .
    not easy at all.

hey genesis and silver, yeah, i think its a really cool idea that we meet up one of these days, den when we meet up, we all try to speak as much thai as possible. English will be kept minimal. haha! hows that? in that way, we can all learn from each other. grins!

hey Garry, thats a very meaningful saying. it kept me thinking and digesting the full meaning of it. and from communicating with like-minded folks out here in this forum, yeah, i so totally agre with it.

oh yes silver, u mentioned tt you like to go thai clubs. Cool! i've been to Bed Supper Club, Mystique and Santika and I absolutely fell in love with Santika and Bed. Santika plays very nice music (good mix of english/thai songs and friendly people) and Bed has got such a unique decor and wah... the drinks are fantastic. LOL!

haha! ok, i think I better stop ranting on and on, before you guys start to think that I do nothing but lead a decadent lifestyle in singapore and bkk.

Anyway, hope to meet up with you guys soon and do feel free to drop me a mail yeah?
