Hello all

I have tried to call the 2 numbers but the first one was a voice message (presumably from the Thai telecom saying it's not valid anymore) and it dropped off, and the second number had a single tone ring (normally it's double tone ring not sure what it means). Do you know any other phone numbers that I can call up?

I am also trying to google his life story and would appreciate anyone to point me to the right direction, eg which university he went to, which course he did, what magically power people believe he has, etc. Pictures of him when he is young...

Luang Phor Khun Paritsudtho is fondly revered throughout thailand. He was born in October 4, 1923 in a farmer family of remote area in Nakornrachasima Province. He is the eldest son of Boon, his father and Thongkhao, his mother. Before Luang Phor Khun was born, his mother told her neighbors that she dreamt that an angle from the heaven visited her house and gave her a brilliant marble. The angle told her to keep this marble carefully as the marble would become a significant devotee to Buddhism and human's dependence.

As life is tenuity, Luang Phor Khun's parents died since he was young. As a result, his aunt patronized him and his siblings. At the age of 6 to 7, he was sent to study Thai and Khmer with masters Shai and Hon. They thought Luang Phor Khun magic
spells for protecting himself from any harm.


At the age 21, Luang Phor Khun was ordained as Paritsudtho at Wat Thanonhukyai in Nakornrachasima Province. After his ordination, he moved and placed himself under Luang Phor Daeng at Wat Bannongpho. Luang Phor Daeng was well known for his strict meditation routine and incantations. Luang Phor Khun studied hard, followed Buddha's Doctrines. Luang Phor Khun had served Luang Phor Daeng for years, before he was sent to study with Luang Phor Khong, who was Luang Phor Daeng's friend. After Luang Phor Khun was skillful enough, he wandered in solitude, staying in caves and practising the Dhamma with piety, through the forest wilderness in search of deeper and wider knowledge of Buddha's doctrine. At first, he wandered within Nakornrachasima Province. Later, he wandered to Laos and Khmer to be free from desires. After he did meditation in higher level for years, he went back to Nakornrachasima Province, Thailand. When he was back, he built Buddhist temple, monk's dwellings, and sermon hall in a monastery. He also drilled and built reservoir for public utilization and school for children in Nakornrachasima Province. Furthermore, he gave education funds for studying Buddhism. This was the most highly significant charity that can lead him to nirvana.



Thus, Luang Phor Khun has devoted his time and effort almost exclusively to Buddhism. Nowadays, his disciples had multiplied into the thousands.

Luang Phor Khoon taken to hospital

Revered monk Luang Phor Khoon Parisuttho was hospitalised early yesterday with a severe fever.

The 84-year-old abbot of Dan Khun Thot district's Ban Rai Temple had a low blood-sugar level indicating a bacterial infection.

A thorough diagnosis is expected to take at least three days.

His disciple Natthapol Paprasertsakulchai, 39, said the monk fell ill on late Tuesday night after presenting awards to elderly people at the district hall. Luang Phor Khoon was shaking with cold despite having three blankets, so Natthapol alerted his doctor.

At about 3am yesterday, Luang Phor Khoon was admitted to Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital. Dr Winitjai Nakphan said the monk was given saline, antibiotics and glucose to prevent him going into shock.

Despite having diabetes and having had coronary-bypass surgery, Luang Phor Khoon has continued to fulfil his monk's duties on a daily basis.

Winitjai said his current illness differed from previous ones. "Luang Phor Khoon never had a low blood-sugar level like this before, so this is worrying," he said.

He said the monk would not be allowed to have visitors and would be under close medical attention until he recovered.

The doctor said he could not say how the monk got the bacterial infection.

The results of blood tests and other checks would give

a clearer indication of his condition in about three days' time.

Two weeks ago I visited Wat Ban Rai hoping to meet Luang Phor Khun. I knew it would be difficult because of his bad health. Normally you have to make an appointment but we were staying in Korat and willing to take a chance. We were very lucky, on that day Luang Phor Khun felt well enough to receive some guests and we were on the right moment on the right place. The ceremony was short and there were about 40 visitors but all were blessed by the walkingstick of this great monk. I got blessed two times, one time when I made a donation and one time when he blessed the amulets, painting and incense we bought at the temple.

Because of his bad eye sight it is not allowed to take pictures but I was lucky again. ITV recorded this ceremony and broadcasted my blessing. I have mailed ITV and they gave me a clip of the broadcast wich you can see on YouTube. i am the bald Farang with the white shirt.

Hello, would like to ask Malaysia's Langkawi Island and Thailand Luang Pho Khun is it same? I am sorry, i am totally new. Lately, my luck downturn very worse and my friend says Langkawi Island Luang Pho Khun do reincarnation luck. Please correct me if I am wrong.
