    shocked

At work today I found out that there are three different ways of saying "kaa" for women. I didn't fully understand their explanation but apparently there are different tones for different situations. Can you explain?

Ka (ค่ะ) can have three pronunciations:

high/short when it is at the end of questions
low/short with statements, responses and commands
    falling/short for emphasis on statements

This is for women only. Men use "krup" which always has a high tone/short vowel length.
