Looking for Volunteers

The Paknam Web Network has now been promoting Thailand to the world for seven years. Our first web site was created on 24th September 1998 at thaistudents.com. This humble web site had the slogan "Learn about Thailand from people who live there". Seven years later things have changed greatly. We now have very active forums, chat rooms and blogs. In addition, we have nearly 40 web sites which are all being used to promote Thailand.

As you can imagine, something like this needs a lot of organizing. And, a lot of time. Surprisingly, Paknam Web Co., Ltd. only has three regular employees. Out of these three people, only Panrit "Gor" Daoruang works fulltime. The Paknam Web Network is as strong as it is mainly because of the generous volunteer workers around the world.

As the web sites and forums gain in strength, there is now a greater need for a group of regular volunteer workers. We are looking for people to be responsible for different sections of the forums. Duties would include moderating, posting topic starters and collecting useful QA's from the past. Basically, we are looking for people to help with one forum each. If you are interested in music then choose the music forum. If you are interested in movies, then choose that forum. And so on.

So, if you are interested to become a Paknam Staff member and be part of this exciting project that spans the world, then please contact us through the PM system.

It has been a while for sure! Are you volunteering? You seemed to have made a big difference to the forum in such a short time.

Thanks to the three people that have volunteered so far. Your "Paknam Web Staff" pins will be arriving in the post soon.

At the moment we have had two people volunteer for the music forum and one for the learning thai forum. We still need people for the other forums like guidebook, shopping, festivals, movies, thailand life, blogs, news etc. I think we will also start a Thai food forum to compliment the new food web site which has just been launched. We have five new web sites either launched or just about to launch. These are exciting times for Paknam Web. And you can play an important role in it all! Become an oline version of Paknam Web Staff! I think I would be interested maybe. If I can do something in the background not really being in the public eye. I have almost no computer skills, you would have to teach me. Also I don't have much time, do you have lighter jobs for people like me?
