For a better rate you exchange your money in the country where you going to.
And that is not only for Thailand. When I go to Singapore I will change my money in Singapore, not here in Europe.

Last i heard, S'pore Golden Mile has a better rates than in Bkk.... That was last week...the difference was around 0.15 Baht... but then the difference shouldn't affect you too much unless you're changing like S$10,000...

IN BKK.,depend where you change. You have to do some reseach.True, exchange in BKK.is better than your own country.MBK.6thfloor foodcourt (can't remember foodcourt level, think 5 or 6th floor)there is a money changer, the rate there is very good.Another one beside Erawan shine.

IMHO I think time wasted looking for an exchange place that will give you a few more baht is time you wont be seeing the country. You will have spent a fair amount of money by the time you are done with your Thailand trip. Worrying about a few more baht is silly. Exchange at the airport when you get there. Get enough money to last you a few days. In a few days hit a bank and do it again. Take those extra hours saved and enjoy the country.
