Oopsie... Foods at Khao San Road, Bangkok

I think Khao San Road is well-known among the tourist. Do you ever come here and try local foods?

I've never eaten much down there... Once I met friends at an Indian resaraunt on Khao San, and once I ate at a vegetarian place down past the end of Khao San, but usually we just go there to look at all the people, 555!

555, I'm not sure what you mean there (out of context?)... actually, I ONLY eat vegetarian food!
I would venture to say that vendor fees are collected by the city, or possibly the district (ie, banglamphu).

Food carts usually specialize in one or a few items. I guess their daily costs are not as great as a restaurant. Also ,they can have a better handle on the cleanliness of the cart, pots, pans, etc.
I went to a side street in Bkk and there were people cooking with a wok .It didn't seem to be for their meal, since it was a pretty big wok.
I am sure most food cart vendors have family or friends as support for their business.
