I love Thailand
Greetings!
I went to Thailand for the first time last November.
I am an American who is married to a Thai, so my experience would not be typical for most tourists, I suppose.
What impressed me the most:
1. The people. Thai people are a diligent and hard working group of people. Amidst the intensity of Bangkok, the people still maintain thier dignity, compassion and love of life.
2. The temples (Wat). This was my first visit to a country that is 95% Buddhist. Being Buddhist myself, you can imagine the joy I experienced in being among a large majority of like minded people.
I can't wait to go back!

You have been infected, like me with an illness uncurable by far. You have been afflicted with affection for anything Thai.
I've been to Thailand only once but I absolutely fell in love with the place.
I've been to many great holiday destinations in my life but Thailand was the best experience ever.
Tha people are so lovely, they are simply so friendly and helpful.
The place itself is also gorgeous. With ancient architecture preserved to such extents, it truly is a sight to behold. I'm understand how you feel, maprowkood. Because I feel the same, can't wait for my next trip there.

5555...I'm in the same situation Makiyo, waiting for June to come round. If only I spent more time working and less time thinking about it and on these boards I'd probably be there already !

I'm sure I'll enjoy myself in Thailand. Just a matter of how much and conjuring up enough will-power to make the trip back home...
