I have always wondered how it tastes like but never have the guts to eat it. My grandmother used to say that it is a good cure for cough.

I haven't had crocodile but I have had alligator several times in Louisiana. It sounds like it is very similar.

Alligator tastes like chicken, pork and can even have a slightly fishy taste. The taste seems to vary depending on what part of the animal the meat is from. I find it delicious.

I found it could be very tough too, sometimes. I'm guessing that there must be a special trick to making it tender.

    Any crocodile chefs out there?

The Chinese use plenty of herbs to cook it to remove the fishy smell. Slowly stewing the crocodile meat makes it more tender.

One difference is an alligator's snout is more elongated compared to the crocodile.
