BANGKOK SHOPPING STREETS & CHRISTMAS TREE TRAIL
December 1, 2005 – January 7, 2006
18.00 – 24.00

Bangkok's Shopping Streets extend from the Siam Square intersection to the
Ratchaprasong-Rajdamri intersection (where Central World Plaza and the Erawan Shrine are located) to the Chidlom-Ploenchit intersection on Rama I Road and from the Four Seasons Bangkok on Rajdamri Road to the Chalermchoke Bridge in Pratunam.

The Bangkok Shopping Streets Festival offer a vast selection of interesting gift items, best buys, festive season promotional offers, leisure and entertainment activities and have been very well-received by local and international shoppers.

FOLLOW THE CHISTMAS TREE TRAIL
Timed to coincide with the festive season and Christmas and New Year celebrations, Bangkok’s Shopping Streets are transformed into a magical wonderland by night. Gardens, shopping malls and plazas, department stores, hotels, banks, office buildings, pedestrian bridges, the maze of interconnected elevated walkways and islands in the middle of road are decorated with thousands of colourful decorative lights that twinkle through the night.

Towering Christmas trees, elegantly decorated in a variety of contemporary and conventional styles, are the unmistakable ‘stars’ of the dazzling ‘Night Light in Bloom’ festive extravaganza. The focal point of every shopping mall, plaza, garden or hotel lobby, the Christmas trees complete the festive look and feel and remind passers-by that Christmas and the New Year – the season of well-wishing and gift-giving is upon us. The ornamental trees along the Christmas tree trail are sponsored by members of the Ratchaprasong-Rajdamri community, particularly the Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association as well as VISA’s partner banks and financial institutions.

A bright and beautiful spectacle to behold, Bangkok’s ‘Night Light in Bloom’ warms the heart and lifts the spirit. Some twenty locations along Bangkok’s Shopping Streets Christmas Tree Trail provide the picture-perfect backdrop for memorable photo opportunities with loved ones, family and friends.

Follow the Christmas Tree shopping trail starting from either end: from Siam Discovery on Siam Square to The Emporium on Sukhumvit Road, or vice-versa.
