This is final notice that the Temple Fair in Samut Prakan will be starting this Friday. You can read my previous articles, view pictures and a map here:

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Everything has been changed to an earlier time with the opening ceremony now at 7 a.m. Scroll down for full schedule for 2009.
According to the timestamp for my photos in 2007 and 2008:
* I took my first pictures of the parade shortly after 9 a.m.
* The red cloth was loaded on the boat at the city hall shortly after 10 a.m.
* It then headed up to Phra Pradaeng for a parade around that city.
* I took my first pictures of the parade in Phra Pradaeng at 11.25 a.m. which lasted about 30 minutes
* I then drove down to Phra Samut Chedi. As the Prime Minister was there last year I couldn't park near but I still beat the boat.
* My pictures of the boat coming back and arriving at Phra Samut Chedi were taken at 1.00 p.m.
* The parade around the temple started at 1.40 p.m. and finished half an hour later
* They finished wrapping the red cloth around the chedi at 2.40 p.m.
If you are planning on coming to the parade on Friday morning, best to arrive early because once the parade starts the traffic coming in from Bangkok will be pretty bad. The best place to stand is near the city hall opposite the Police Station and Provincial Courts. There is a fountain here in the middle of the road. This is where the one way system starts and so you will be able to see the parade twice as it returns on the other road.
