Hi all,

I am Lime (Ma-naw/ ��). I previously registered with different names (you might have noticed) but later thought the names were too long and didn't realise that your are not allowed to have more than one user names.

I am here to first practise my English and share what I know about Thailand and its cultures. If my posts have caused confusion in any way or appear to be too blunt and you cannot handle it please let me know and we go from there.

Hello! My name is Ellen. In August of 2006, my family welcomed a young Thai student into our home as an exchange student for one year. He was the first Thai person we had ever met and he changed our lives! We have since had a second Thai student and are eagerly awaiting a 3rd this coming August. I have now made 2 visits to Thailand, and have spent some time with the wonderful families of our first 2 students. One family lives in Banglen and the other in Udon Thani. I have also visited Phitsanulok and Chiang Mai. I loved being in Thailand - the culture is fascinating and the people are so warm, generous, and kind! I am trying to learn Thai. It is coming slowly - no one to practice with right now. I am an ESL teacher. Someday my husband and I hope to spend extended periods of time in Thailand teaching English.
