I'm sorry, but I don't think I am the one to answer your questions. We built our house on a plot of land my wife owns near her parent's house. It is located in a very remote rural village. I don't even know where the nearest airport is...Khon Kaen perhaps? I don't even know of a school near our house that has a decent English language program. Sorry.

We are seriously thinking of retiring to Thailand and would like to find out some options. we would like to rent first then find an area where we could buy or build with a view to long term settlement. My wife will still be working on a fly-in fly-out roster from Western Australia so would need to be close to an air route. We have two teenage children that will have to be put in school with no Thai language under their belt so an English speaking day school would be required. Please reply with any insight you think may prove useful or feel free to post on to anyone else that might be able to help. Thanks - Camarina.

I still post from time-to-time. I have been busy since we returned from Thailand in January. Unlike some people, I don't take my work with me on holiday, so I have a lot waiting for me when I return. I have posted a few photos in the photo albums though.
