older LG and Razor V3

I have an LG phone that was recommended for use in Thailand. I also have a Razor V3.

I am told SIM cards at airport may cost between 69 and 300 baht. can you verify this? I will need to buy a SIM card when I go to Thailand soon.

Thank you.

You can buy a SIM-Card anywhere in Thailand, even at any "7-Eleven"-Shop.

The prize-range is also right.

Re: older LG and Razor V3

what is top-up? is it possible that i may need to unlock the phone to specific Thai sim cards? i unlocked my phone to a sim card outside original network, so maybe it will work with any sim card now, but not sure (LG) you paid 99 at the airport for sim?

When you buy a sim card it has a certain amount of calling credit on it, when you have used up the calling credit by making calls or sending sms messages then you have to "top-up" the sim with more calling credit.

It depends whether you have unlocked the phone or changed the lock to another network. If it is unlocked then you will have no problem using a Thai sim.

Re: older LG and Razor V3

go to settings..try to select "new network"
no funny errors means u should be able to log onto another network..including when/if u insert a thai simcard...
my razor V3 doesn't log it to any 1 specific netwrk..
so i just remove and insert..
read y0ur manual again or call y0ur local motorola/LG service centres if all else fails...

If it is best to get a SIM card at 7-Eleven, do you know if 7-Eleven has option to add credit to the SIM, or if that can only be done at the airport?

BTW, the LG phone which I have is LG CG225. Do you know if this phone is also a phone that should work with any SIM card once it is unlocked with T-Mobile SIM?

There are probably millions of places in Thailand to add credit to your SIM card, 7-Eleven included.
