Chao Praya River Movie

Hi all, hope this doesn't sound so vague....

15 years or so ago (LOL!), I watched this Thai movie which I remembered was titled Chao Praya River, but recently when I went Youtube to check the acccuracy of its name, I can't find any movie by that name.. It's actually a very simple and heartwarming love story... The movie started off with a scene of a young man who is one of those Chao Praya river people (has a boathouse on the river and lives there) bathing in the river and a faeces floated onto his head, to which his neighbour or friend joked with him about, which he took in good humour...

Anyway, I can't remember why, but his wife somehow went to become a sex worker in Bangkok (I think it's BKK), and he just packed up and looked everywhere for her until he found her in a brothel, then somehow they just got back together again...

Wonder if anyone knew the title of that movie? It has a nice soundtrack on Chao Praya River too...

Ok, I know this is really vague, and 15 yrs ago too...

Re: Chao Praya River Movie

Many thanks for peiyan sharing this heartwarming love story which i don't even know about. I admire the young man who have selfless love for his wife (which he don't mind his wife somehow went to become a sex worker) and spent time searching everywhere for her until he found her in a brothel.

I'm glad that in the end somehow they just got back together again... I personally feel if you really love the person wholeheartedly. You wouldn't mind about the person's past

Re: Chao Praya River Movie

Thanks, I just watched the trailer; it looks like quite a good movie Unfortunately it's not the movie I am looking for.. The one I was looking for is much older - an early 1980s movie I believed

Re: Chao Praya River Movie

Huh?? An early 1980s movie? The movie should be in black and white right? Nevertheless it's still a heartwarming love story. Like the return of the condor hero got 1 touching word that is..Asking the world what is the meaning of true love, only the loving couple can't separate them apart till death. Hehe is the translated part correct or not?

Re: Chao Praya River Movie

We grow up in the 80s... Do you remember any of our TV shows or movies in black and white?????

I know my favourite Chaplin (1910s/20s) and Apu (1950s) series are all in black and white, but since the 70s, all are coloured already
